EuroUnicorns is a unique and inspiring international project dedicated to the development of girls’ baseball in Europe.

Launched as the first truly pan-European select team in the U10 age category, it brings together talented young girls from multiple countries to play, train, and grow together in a sport that has traditionally been dominated by boys.

The project focuses on girls aged around 9–10 years old. Players are carefully selected based on their talent, skills, sportsmanship, and passion for the game.

What makes EuroUnicorns special is its international character — the team includes girls from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, and potentially other European nations.

Instead of representing just one country, they form a unified “unicorn” squad that symbolizes unity, dreams, and breaking barriers in baseball.The main goals of the EuroUnicorns project are clear:

• Promote girls’ participation in baseball and softball across Europe
• Provide high-quality training and competitive opportunities
• Build confidence, teamwork, and friendships among young female athletes
• Show that baseball is truly for girls too

In recent months, the team has already taken part in several events.

They competed at the Euro Kids Tournament in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm, participated in training camps, and played exhibition games and tournaments in the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia.

Their unique unicorn-themed uniforms and positive energy quickly made them a favorite among spectators and young fans.Behind the project stands the initiative “Baseball is for Girls Too,” which actively supports the development of female baseball in smaller European countries where the sport still struggles for visibility.

The team organizes regular training camps where girls from different backgrounds come together, learn from experienced coaches, and improve their hitting, fielding, pitching, and base-running skills.

For many of these young players, EuroUnicorns is more than just a team — it is a chance to dream bigger.

In countries where girls’ baseball teams are rare or nonexistent, this select squad offers an opportunity to compete at a higher level and feel part of something special.
